MURRAY HILL- STEM is nerdy, boring, and difficult. When I was in school, I had a hard timeengaging in my math and science classes until I saw their potential. According to a literature review published by the institutions of Engineering and Technology, there are three key barriers students face when it comes to a STEM education:

  1. Lack of engaging STEM programs
  2. The perceived difficulty of STEM subjects
  3. The negative views about successes in STEM majors
